I thought it would be fun to get to know each other a little better, so i thought of some questions that are a little different from the regular ones. I am sure something similar has been done before, but a cursory search turned up nothing.

Absent-mindedness. I can be totally involved in thought and be oblivious to my surroundings.

Petite with smaller bewbs physically, ability to think outside the box charctherwise.

1) Music and stand up comedy on YouTube to keep spirits up
2) Good question. I would say they have similar sense of humor, but can also have intelligent conversations
3) Farts are still funny to me. Sue me.
4) A doctor... scrapped that fairly quickly, though
5) A career with all kinds of freedom and good pay. Needless to say I haven't found it yet
6) I wish I was a computer whiz as they make tons of money and are always in demand
7) Smoking. I'm actually allergic to the smoke, so that's a big one
8) I live in my head, so much so that I sometimes look like I'm staring off blankly, but I'm basically going through useless scenarios in my head
9) To have the ability to not take everything seriously and be very patient
10) A guilty pleasure is probably going through YouTube comment section especially when it's funny comments and/or arguments
 
One thing that makes me laugh no matter what is thinking about my pet cockatiel.

He was lots of fun and had a lot of personality. He was cute.

After 30 years together I am not sure there is anything obscure or unusual, at least to me. I will say consistency.

Going out for a run or a walk can make you feel better if you're feeling blue. The reason is because getting physical exercise boosts certain chemicals (neurotransmitters) in your brain. It's what they call the runner's high.

Expounding a little more on question 9:

One thing that that my wife and I share, and that we both considered non-negotiable in a life partner, is a love for reading.

I have mentioned elsewhere that now that we're empty-nesters, our date nights (usually Thursdays) consist of going to the library and picking something off the new book shelves, and then going out to dinner, where we ask for a well-lit table.

9)what is a kind of "obscure" or unusual trait that you find attractive in a potential mate/ current one? - what I find attractive can't always be quantified, it's just a "something about" a girl.... and a hot ass doesn't hurt.
10) name a guilty pleasure - seeing hot/attractive girls in public (I try to stay age appropriate.... to my current age.. at least legal! :) ) and checking out without being caught or obvious... which means you have to let some go "unchecked out" depending on the situation.

Work up a sweat. It's pretty hard to feel depressed when you've used your body to improve your health or do something useful. Just move.

None of them are as good-looking as me.

Stand-up comedy. I've probably seen 50 shows or so and can only think of one or two that weren't great. Usually you part with 15 or 20 bucks for a ticket
and whatever was eating you on the way in is long forgotten on the way out.

An Astronaut, a rock star and a soldier. None worked out.

5)what is your dream career?

There is a show on Netflix called The Repair Shop and it involves a group of craftsmen who fix/restore all sorts of various treasured family heirlooms. It takes place in a beautiful
thatched-roof workshop and all the co-workers help, support and seem to really enjoy each other's company. Nobody talks about money, nobody cuts corners or
rushes and when the items are returned to their owners the people are always astonished and grateful. It struck me as the perfect job.

6)what is a skill or talent you wish you had?

I play guitar and can carry a tune, but I'm not comfortable performing in front of people and tend to lose my focus and voice. I blank out. That is about the only thing that really makes me feel nervous and self-conscious anymore. I wish I could learn to relax and perform, but, so far, that has eluded me (or I elude it). Maybe this year I'll work with somebody and get over the nerves. I've wanted to do that for a long time.

I do a fair bit of compromising, but one thing would be that not every move I make has to be approved. I need a certain amount of space to handle things
my own way, even if that way doesn't make sense to the general public and all the ships at sea. Trust me.

Sometimes I think I would have been better off if I focused on just one area of expertise that I never got bored with instead of becoming pretty good at a lot of different things.

I like it when a woman has a favorite constellation. She had me at Cassiopeia.

I enjoy historical costume dramas. Sense and Sensibility and that sort of thing, although I'm not sure exactly why.

Lori and I don't ask for the well lit table. I just wear the"we're old" sign around my neck,
