I've become a huge Trader Joe's fan. 2 strong recommendations: Their awesome Ginger snaps; and their fresh NE style Clam Chowder (on the refrigerator case near the sandwich roll-ups. Not thick and gooey. Well equipped with good clams and potatoes, a little creamy, and a little Milky. I was very pleasantly surprised.

Please pitch in with something you like (or not). Were this thread to gain traction, I'd use it for sure.

Cheers, BostonTim

The timing of this thread couldn't have been better because I have never been to a Trader Joe's, but one opened in Fort Wayne yesterday. The local news showed long lines of people waiting to enter. That always amazes me because I can't imagine waiting that long just to shop unless I was given something like a $1,000 shopping spree. Even then, I probably wouldn't go because that would just mean that the line would be ten times longer than it already was.

While it will probably be a while before I check out the store, it will be great to have some suggestions of what to buy (y)or not to buy (n).

There's always a line outside since covid because they let only a few dozen people in at a time, lol.
Just had TJ's turkey meatloaf last night! can't wait until their samples are back.
Love their cauliflower cheese dish, salads, soups, opal apples, etc.
They have an awesome hand sanitizer spray that smells like orange/grapefruit and does not dry your hands. plus only $1.99!

another Pro Tip......

DON'T try the the $2 Buck Chuck

specifically the $2 Buck UpChuck Merlot :barf:

Orange Chicken FTW

Don't try the Trader Joes Scotch.
Speaking of wine. Hanging on cardboards in the wine area is IMO one of the world's great bargains the Trader Joes double hinge (double clutch I call it) waiter's corkscrew. Just 3 Dollars. Rugged, tactile, and smooth in operation. I have a 200 dollar rosewood Lagiuole waiters screw/ It's now in permanent retirement.

I'm generally not that impressed with sweets but my wife swears by the Speculoos Cookie Butter.
