So this past Saturday morning.....I hear footsteps coming up my stairs, then hear a door close. I assume its one of the girls going back to sleep. I then hear my 6 year old trying to get into the bathroom which is locked. I get up to escort her downstairs so she doesn't wake the entire family.....as I'm walking down the stairs, I realize the shower was on ......so I bring the little one downstairs....go back up to see why my other dtr is showering at 6:30 a.m, only to find her still in bed !!!!

I do a dbl check......all of my kids....and realize that my wife is still sleeping..... and both daughters are accounted for OUTSIDE OF THE BATHROOM. So I unlock the bathroom....peek in....and find a woman in my shower. (No guys she was not hot)

I wake the wife....tell her to call 911 and get her and the kids out of the house.....The wife grabs the kids and leaves the house.....911 is called. Like an idiot, I go back into the house to see if anybody else is in there.....then realize it's not such a good idea....so I leave. 5 cop cars show up....run into the house.....a few of them unholster their weapon......I follow them in and wait downstairs. A few minutes later, they ask me to go upstairs. Apparently the woman finished her shower and felt the need to crawl into my bed. So now she is naked in my bed and is covering herself with the blanket. I walk in the room and she says, very happily "Hi, how are you" !! I explain I have no idea who she is....but she insists I am her husband from El Salvador.

They get her dressed and downstairs where she tells them my daughters are her kids. She is wearing only pajamas and slippers and it was friggin cold that morning. Eventually she is given a first class ride to the local psych ward.

Worst part is she was sitting on my loveseat being questioned. After she is gone, my 10 year old asks "What is this red stain on the couch" Yep....that's right she had her friggin period. I run upstairs, and notice the bed looked like a crime scene !!!!!

Sheets, towels all thrown out. Comforter, blanket, couch cushion sent to the dry cleaners. Stanley steamer called in to clean the couch......thank god I have a plastic mattress cover.

It appears she was walking around the backyard and found the extra set of keys I keep hidden....guess I need a better hiding spot

Unreal

Wow.

I really wanna make a "Sanchez's mom has fallen far" joke, but this is one scary story. I'm glad you guys are OK, all the mess she left aside.

The little one still seems frightened......got some alarm ppl coming this week for estimates

We have a big problem with regards to motion sensors, because we have two very big dogs.

So I installed floodlights instead, with motion sensors outside, and some dummy cameras to make it look like we have security.

Then I changed locks all over the place and got some real good quality deadbolts as well as a system for the garden door.

We don't really live in a dangerous neighborhood at all, but my wife thought it was wise to have some security setup just in case.

OK....I too am in a very nice upper middle class neighborhood.....I just think this woman snapped and found her way into my home. That said,,,,extra security is always good

Glad everyone is okay!

Few things are worse than having the security of your home violated by an intruder.

I'm glad your family is OK, and that you are taking steps to ease your daughters' minds about a repeat occurrence.

Is it possible to leave your spare key with a neighbor?

Yeah right. Likely story.

So your "little senorita" followed you home. I'm surprised your wife bought your story after all your long "business" trips to El Salvador. popcorn

(Totally kidding. I'm glad everyone is safe.)

That is plan "A"....plan "B" was hiding it elsewhere

My wife's intelligence has always been questioned since she married the likes of me....but this other woman was clearly insane since she willingly thought I was her husband

ugh! Scary and gross all rolled into one. Sorry that happened, especially feel for your kids.

Forgot to mention, tehrick would hit it.

That's your best security system right there, assuming they bark at strangers.

I've seen reports where thieves say they try to avoid houses with dogs.

Holypoop that is freaky, you handled much better than me, I would have tossed her out the second floor window but she obviously was insane and in need of help. Be careful as they will keep her 30 days and release her. Ask the police to let you know she is out and to keep a watch for a bit just so the kids can see them protect and serve.

Yep, no one goes near our German Shep when he starts barking. Hell people try their best to avoid him even when he doesn't.
