So you're setting this up as: you're right unless Josh and Co. fail to make the appropriate adjustments necessary? Do you think you'd be able to tell the difference in how they're running the offense to account for the difference in quality at LT? How would you know how they're limiting their playbook and adjusting their play calling to adjust for the personnel?Time will tell with Campbell.
I’m looking forward to revisiting this in late February. I think we are going to find that the drop off between Lowe and Campbell is negligible and a lot of the improvements on the line came from solidifying the right side and that allowed help to be schemed up for the left. If there’s a situation like last year where the right side falls apart and you got Mike O playing out of position, you’re going to see Campbell struggle.
Look y’all tore me a new one for saying similar things about Mac jones, Harry, and Strange. For years.
I understand the love for Campbell. His attitude and personality are exactly what you want.
But he’s not a “blue chip” LT. And it’s a real shame he was the best available in a year the Pats had 4 overall.
Also, elsewhere you've stated that because Campbell isn't that good and was a wasted pick, OT is a top priority in the off-season. But if it doesn't matter if the OT isn't good, why would it be a priority? Shouldn't we just roll with Campbell? Or for that matter, since the world seems to think Campbell is good, shouldn't we trade him for picks and roll with Lowe?
And any answer to the question about outstanding physical attributes? Where is that coming from?
