Week 4 other games

my take:
light "stop the pass"oriented defenses(nickel/dime) they run as base mostly league wide are quite susceptible to the run. attacking opposition weakness is intelligent. changing approach game to game as bb does is also intelligent but you need certain types of players (smart and versatile). schemes need to be more simple and employ more athletic players instead because the 2011 cba killed coaches who were more like bb:teaching complex read and react schemes. bill is adaptable and has proven it many times over. example: when more teams started copycatting the pats and pitt and running 3-4, those players got harder to get in the draft. so bb went away ,gradually from a 3-4 base.
Agree. It's not that they game has passed Bill by, it's that the CBA hasn't left enough room to really teach and develop complex systems. It's become more player driven.

And the players aren't being taught in college, where they all run the same playground offense, where they should be refining their skills, leaving it to high school coaches to teach these kids how to play.

Ravens having their way with the Bills, this could get ugly if they put up another TD before halftime.
They're just too small on defense. A vertical power run team with a QB that can really run is pretty much the worst possible matchup they can have.

Edit: If you're big in your front 6, and have safeties who can really thump, that's how you can beat them, with a contain pass rush. Bills don't have any of that, light in the front 6, coverage-type safeties, and free-lancing pass rushers.

Heard the tail end of them talking on the NFL channel on sirius about deshaun Watson and how the locker room is not his biggest fan. there was something about in the last game how he put his hand up to get helped up off the field and the offensive lineman blew him off.I'm sure they had some other examples. I don't blame these players if this turd is not working hard and is just flopping around and malingering like I've heard and seen. They need to bench his ass. they've already paid him way too much money to suck. it's a sunk cost at this point.
The OL player was Joel Bitonio & he flat pushed Watson's hand away. Probably the first time that happened to Watson :) There is so much stuff coming out now about him. The first in last out that is said about the great ones isn't him. Allegedly late to meetings sometimes & leaves the facility before anyone. He got paid & seemingly couldn't care about is teammates. Winston should start next game but even if Stefanski wants too I don't think Haslam would let him. Total mess. Nothing new for the Browns.

wow. putting a qb out there who has flat out lost the lockerroom is disasterous. haslam...🙄

Run the ball, play defense, control the clock. That's how. It's not sexy, but nor do you need ZOMGELITETALENT to do it.

Tell that to AVP who wants to reinvent the wheel with this shitty offense.

Pats defense is somehow still able to keep it relatively close despite the glaring inability to move the ball on the other side.

Niners could have easily scored 40+, but defense held tough.

We have to admit it. The Chiefs are where we once were. Even when they're not playing great, they still find ways to win and they're 4-0. They even have the accusations of the refs supporting them etc. They'll continue to get the wins, might drop a game or two, but will be favourites yet again come the playoffs.

This is how we once were. Kind if depressing but still very grateful for all the years we had this. The Chiefs time will come to an end as well.
