Ravens @ Miami. 8:15 PM tonight. Lamar should be back. Ravens favored by 7.5 points
Sunday games
Denver @ Houston. 1 PM. Houston is favored by 1.5 points. Could go either way. Nix is 2-7 in his last 9 road games.
Colts @ Steelers. 1 PM. Colts are playing tough. Colts favored by 3 points.
Chiefs @ Buffalo. 4:25 PM. Chiefs are surging; Bills are sliding. Can the Bills get up for this? Chiefs favored by 2.5 points. Seems like a good bet to me.

I would love to see the Bills, Jaguars, Chargers and Broncos all win this week. That outcome would mean the Chiefs would not be a current playoff team. And while there's still a long way to go, having the Chiefs be in semi-panic mode in week 10 would be a good thing.

They still have some tough games on their schedule - after the Bills they're at Denver, and then they get the Colts in KC the week after that.

Good thought, but I don't think KC will panic even if they are sitting out of the top 7. There's just nothing that you trust behind them in the standings lurking. Jags? Texans? Those are the next 2 in line. Other than that, it's whether the Ravens can right the ship enough to make a real sprint. The AFC is absolute steaming trash.

No, the Chiefs are in the postseason barring something unforseen. I'd rather have the Bills lose and get a little bit of a cushion in the division.

You're probably right, but if they lose to the Bills and Broncos the next two games weeks (both away games), then they'll have an uphill climb to win the AFC West. Which would mean they'd likely be on the road throughout the playoffs.

The Chiefs will be right there when all is said and done. Personally, I'd rather win our division over the Bills and let the chips fall as they will.
I'd love a home field advantage in game 1 against a lesser ranked opponent and see Buffalo rank lower and play a higher ranked team.

This is the current bracket if the season ended today.
I'd rather not play the Chiefs in the 1st game. I'd much rather play the Chargers or Bills therefore I'd rather see the Chiefs rise in the standings.
I'll be rooting against the Bills in every game they play. I want to win the division.

AFC

  • (1) Colts receive a bye
  • (2) Pats vs. (7) Chiefs
  • (3) Broncos vs. (6) Chargers
  • (4) Steelers vs. (5) Bills

I still feel a Bills loss is of greater benefit to the Pats. The Pats have no control over the Chiefs' destiny but the Bills still have a say in the Pats'. For now, the Chiefs are the Broncos problem.

Winning the AFCE means 1-2 home playoff games for the Pats.

No question. I hope the Bills lose every game. I want to win the division

What you say is very, very true.
Only problem is that I hate the Cheifs more than the Bills.

Officials just got it wrong again. Deep strike into the ravens territory called back. Completely bullshit.

I don't want to wussify football but don't like those neck tackles the Ravens have done a couple of times.
