What Concerts Have You Been To?

Just added 311 and AWOLNATION to my list. AWOLNATION put on a great show even though I only knew one of their songs. 311 was absolutely amazing. Their lead singer is over 50 and still in phenomenal shape. I feel a little dumb for passing up on so many chances to see them in the past.

I've seen five gigs in the past 18 months: Rammstein (bloody amazing); New Model Army (not bad, but not really my thing); Maiden and two cover bands (Mörderstein and Hi On Maiden).

Tbh, I enjoyed the cover bands the most - small venues and close to the stage. I was most disappointed by Maiden (the crowd weren't that into it near us).

Monkees twice, Hilary Duff, and Weird Al Yankovic, they were all great concerts

Bringing this one back from the dead. We were offered free tickets to go with a friend to see Ghost last night. It was a 3 and a half hour drive. We got home at 2 this morning and I'm dead tired. Still have a birthday and a funeral to go to before kickoff today but the concert was a blast. I thought I knew a lot of their songs but it turns out that I did not. 😂 They have a no phones policy and I loved it. Everyone just watching the band and not worrying about getting pictures and videos for their social media. I would definitely go see them again, just maybe not spending half a day driving next time...especially before my team plays in the Super Bowl.

Saw Opeth Friday night at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston. The opening act was Katatonia. It has been many year since I last attended a show there. That would be Extreme in 1990 with a band I hadn't heard of at the time Alice in Chains.
Alice in Chains had just released their debut album 2 months prior.

Blondie Orpheum 14 years old...trying to get laid
Ozzy cumberland civic center in maine... Awesome show Randy Rhodes was still alive.
