Tip Roast just did me a favor by reposting one of the funniest things I have seen on this Board, namely a send up of that classic "O Fortuna" called "Gopher Tuna" which you can find in the Classical Music thread. It made me laugh then and still does. Which made me think about other stuff that I find hilarious and decided I would like to find out yours. My two top faves for belly laughs are Cheech and Chong smoking that giant joint on the freeway from "Up In Smoke" and Lucy Ricardo pitching "Vitameatavejamin" from I Love Lucy. Are these as funny as I think they are?

There's all kinds of good stuff from the old I Love Lucy shows. And I loved how low key Desi played - just an eyeroll could do it. Lucille Ball and Carol Burnett are probably two of my most favorite female comedians.

Going back even further, The Jack Benny Program also made me laugh. The episode when Peter Lorre was the guest was especially funny. I just wish all those old shows weren't so cluttered up with laugh tracks.

It really doesn’t take much to make me laugh but I absolutely loved Jim Carrey in Ace Ventura Pet Detective. I’m also a fan of the Jay and Silent Bob movies.

funniest skit ever. Tim Conway was brilliant

I loved his very old man shtick too. I saw a clip on TV one afternoon after just smoking a giant J and it was side-splitting on the theme "It don't matter." He was playing a preacher. Don't know if it would have been so hilarious if I hadn't been so high. I have looked all over the net for the clip with no luck. :high:

The Carol Burnett Show was the greatest comedy ensemble ever. Carol, Tim Conway, Harvey Korman, Vicki Lawrence and Lyle Wagonner. Pure comedy gold every week.
For those who have trouble hearing what Vicki said, it was, "Are you sure that little asshole's through?"

Agree. The chemistry bn them was perfect. And did you know that Bob Mackie - stylist for Cher - made all their costumes? That "Went With the Wind" is an all time classic.

The Naked Gun stuff was also one of my fave. Not to be overshadowed by the hilarious Airplane! where just about every line is killer. Even thinking about Lloyd Bridges saying "I guess today's not the day for me to quit sniffing glue" breaks me up.
