Obviously I am not a regular poster and I don't come to this site as often as I use to, but one thing I always looked forward to is the training camp thread.

Guys like Chevss and others would post daily updates, training camp development, final cut predictions, etc. Living in the midwest, this thread was a wealth of knowledge and helped me understand the state of the roster and what to expect in the season to come. Yeah I take much more than I give to this forum, but I am sad to see the discussions we have today. It seems like a few people have pushed the real good posters away. I hope that things turn around soon, but if I am not getting anything other then tabloid news here, I will visit less often and eventually fade away.

So I hope I am just not looking in the right place for training camp news, pics, and discussions. Otherwise I'm left with mainstream media which are already calling Drake Maye a bust and the Patriots hapless.

Thanks for all the years of sharing amazing observations and insights. I hope I can find a site that offers that again if this one is no longer my mecca.

Yeah! LIKE is back. now get to the girlie pick thread and catch up with my likes as I didn't allow a little thing like likes and praise stop me from my duties :coffee:

I just keep watching the Youtube TC videos . Everything I hearing baker has been embarrassing DB's. Getting quick seperation off the snap

OC Alex Van Pelt, to season-ticket members, on QB Drake Maye:

“He's been impressive and done everything we've asked him. He studies really hard and puts the work in. We've cleaned up his footwork ... the biggest thing I've seen from him is the ability to process quickly. He can go from the first read to the third read very quickly. He sees the field really well."

If AVP says it...

The current state of the Patriots reminds me of the days when I first became a fan. It was the Mike Holovak, Babe Parilli, Jim Nance, Gino Cappelletti era.

There aren't a lot of direct parallels, but the general talent level (possibly less than league average), the hopes for the upcoming season (maybe get to around .500 and be competitive in most games), and the expectations of pundits (the team won't be good, again) all remind me of the reasons one becomes a fan - sometimes the underdog team you're rooting for rises up and does something unexpected and wonderful.

That's why I'm here.
