I guess you missed the 31 points the offense put up by the middle of the third quarter.

And you ask me if I watch the games?
Set up by the Tampa defense but I guess you watch games differently than other football fans.

No they weren't. If anything the Bucs offense was blistering from their third possession on given their defense a 2 score lead in the second quarter.

Look at the scoring summary below. From the Bucs 3rd possession until their 8th possession it went: TD/stopped on goalline/TD/TD/TD/FG.

And they did all of that from the middle of the first quarter until the middle of the third quarter. They ran the ball the rest of the game to run out the clock otherwise they could have put up 40+ easily. The offense was just as dominant as the defense. Brady was literally almost perfect in the game going 21 for 29 with 3 TDs and zero picks hence why he won SB MVP.

I heard someone, who is a well respected NFL coach, say stats are for losers. I agree.
So those 31 points would have been enough to win,if the TB defense would have just played an average game? The reason that TB offense was able to put on those drives was because the defense shut down KC's offense.
Anyone who actually watched the game knows this.

LOL. You sound like Colts/Jetes fans from back in the day.

It is the other way around actually. Tampa's offense put up 14 points by the middle of the second quarter which allowed the defense to pin its ears back and come after Mahomes. When Brady led the final drive of the half to make it 21-6 that allowed the defense to play however it wanted as it knew KC would have to press. So what happens next? Mahomes opens the half with a beautiful drive but only gets the FG, still it is 21-9 and the game is well within reach. So what does Brady and the O do on their first possession of the second half? Goes right down the field and gets the TD to make it 28-9 and game over. It was one of the best complimentary football games you will ever see in a SB and would have made Bill blush like a school girl if his teams were ever good enough to pull that off against the very best team and very best QB in the game.

And if Tampa needed more than the 31 had the defense got lit up, the offense would have delivered. They stopped trying to score in the middle of the third quarter.

Are you kidding us, or just playing the fool? You have watched this iteration of the Patriots for over 20 years and you question this?

Bill had said that. He wanted to start Brady in 2001 but knew he did not have the clout yet...
I imagine that had bledsoe not injured himself, you would have stepped up and explained Tom to Krafty and he would have jumped right in for TFB. 🤷
