1c Jim Plunkett it's a wonder the guy could still walk by the time he left the Patriots. Then goes on to win 2 SBs with the hated Raiders.

I was young when Grogan was the QB so it was always about the players and I never really considered the "state of the franchise" kind of stuff back then. But it's got to be Bledsoe #1 because he solidified the "state of the franchise" during what was arguably their most crucial period. I believe he was something like 63-54 in the regular season while in New England but he provided the right shot in the arm at the absolute right time.
