I agree that contributes to it. But some / many QBs simply aren’t that good early on, and take a long time to develop. I do think that by the third year, you usually have a reasonable idea of if they can be a legit starter, (although there are some QBs who took a lot longer, before developing...

They have 3 huge needs on offense, QB, WR, & Left tackle. If they make the trade with the Vikings, they should be able to get either a really good WR or Left tackle at 11, depending how the draft plays out. Hopefully, Penix (my choice) or Nix will be there near the end of the first round...

If they don’t love who’s there at three, I hope they trade back, and get Penix later. I think teaching him how to throw shorter touch passes, would be easier than teaching someone how to throw accurately down the field.

Well, it's the off season, so these are the things that get talked about, while waiting for some real news. IMO, there seems to be only one good owner at the moment (Wyc), but others may have different opinions.

I suspect that with BB gone, the defense could regress.
