I know is the dead money if he's traded is crazy high

Brady is almost untradeable until 2017 because his contract is fully guaranteed. Dead money by season: 2014: 32M 2015: 18M 2016: 12M 2017: 6M 6M in dead isn't tooo bad but 12 is a bit high, so even if TB does take a turn for the worst performance wise, he's not being traded until 2017.

2/12 wouldn't have killed the Patriots. Welker's really went downhill last season because he had Mr. Duck Manning throwing him the ball so he took a lot more abusive hits imo. I still think the Pats would've been fine offering WW 2/12 matching Denver's offer
