    Ocho out

Chad inactive? That may hurt (who would have thought) since he has so much experience against the Ravens seconday, especially Reed. Ridley wasnt a shock after the fumble last week.

    Jimmy Clausen

Was thinking about the Panthers plight and the talk of the Pats drafting a Brady heir. Wouldn't trading for Clausen make sense if the Panthers draft Newton? Assuming Weis had a high opinion of the kid, and BB knows it and liked his performance with a bad supporting cast, wouldn't it make sense...

O line backing up D line?

Any chance BB uses a back up o-line guy situationally on the d-line today, a la Troy Brown? I would imagine most of these guys played d-line at some point in their football lives. I would think a simple "sit in this spot" type assignment could be applied. Not sure he would want to risk injury...

    Sanchez-LT trouble in paradise?

Just watched the game replay and noticed there were a few times Sanchez and LT seemed to be annoyed with each other. Saw it live but forgot about it til today. First one was when LT jumped up and celebrated his first down in the 1st quarter-looked like Sanchez was telling him to cut the crap and...

    Hypocrite Hines

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=587150 Hines whining about the NFL being mean. Course this guy tries to maim people who are not looking behind the play (Keith Rivers) and smiles after. But cries when things don't go his way.

    Eli got WWE'd

Wow, Eli got hammered there. Blood was spurting out of his head like a True Blood episode. Got to give him props that he got off the field on his own. Looked nasty.

    Herm Inventing Words

Anyone else catch Herm Edwards commenting on the Bears on ESPN yesterday? He decribed Urlacher as "flustrated". Thought it was just an accident until he used it again to describe Gale Sayers. I actually like this new word and have added it to my vocabulary.

    Shank at it again?

Anybody read Shanks column today? I cannot bring myself to click on his (or any Herald) links. I assume it's a ripoff of Mazz'z "Pats fans are blind loyalists" horsecrap. Come to think of it I don't click on Mazz either. Was reading "Feeding the Monster" on a plane this week and the author...

    ESPN reporting Brady injured?

Caught the tail end of a "Mort report" where he was talking about Brady having an additional injury. Can't find anything on it but apparently Vegas pulled the game and/or reduced the spread due to some rumors going around late last night. Anybody know what is going on?

    Brady's shoulder

I have not seen any discussion (I apologize if there is a thread on this-didn't see one) on the "non-injury" to Brady's shoulder. The criticism of the passing offense seems to be focusing on lack of timing from the year off, residual balkiness in the knee, Brady being timid in the pocket, etc...

    Good Bye Joey

Awful performance, Galloway. Even when he caught the ball, he had zero escapability. I predict he doesn't make the week. Edelman was OK, not great, but I trust him more than Galloway.

Holmes finally penalized for TD celebration

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/football/nfl/02/19/steelers.holmes.ap/index.html Is Goodell really this stupid? Next thing you know we'll have timers so these guys know when to start their "look at me" dance. The excuse how this was "missed" is so freaking lame that Arod has more...

    OMG-Peirera admits mistake!

Peirera admitted today that Holmes should have been penalized for using the ball as a prop on his TD celebration. The excuse was lame-they didn't see it because it happened too long after the play was over. Of course millions of other people saw it, but whatever.

    Cowher=great coach?

What is it with all this love for Cowher lately? If anything he knew when to get out of coaching. My impression is he is a good team builder but poor game manager. And in the playoffs he was worse. Run the game plan no matter how bad it was. Poor adjustments. The one SB win was probably the...

    Cassel-MVP

I would like to nominate Mr. Cassel for MVP. Anyone who watched a Pats game this year knows he put this team on his back and willed them to 11 wins. Manning? Plays in nice conditions, and the Colts should be 9-7 at best, teams gave away games. Pennington? Same division, same # wins, Cassel...

    Vrabel vs TE

Has anybody else noticed that every time a TE makes a big catch, the replay shows Vrabel rushing right by the guy at the snap? I think at the very least a quick shove or chip on the guy to disrupt his route should be standard procedure. I started noticing this during the Colts game, and it's...

    Romo boo-boo

Saw that Romo is going to miss the next two weeks for his broken pinkie. It made me think of Drew playing with the pin sticking out of his broken finger and beating Buffalo. And wasn't that his index finger? Guess they aren't as tough nowadays.

    Am I crazy?

Long story short. HD cable box got fried this morning. My HDTV TV does not have an intergrated HDTV tuner. Ran out to buy an HD antenna, but found the signal in my area sucked. Ran out and bought a new TV with an HDTV tuner built in. All for one game since I can get a new cable box in the...

    NFL network and Fox

Well, I've got to say, NFL network (Sirius) was great today. Adam Schein started his show saying the the story is extremely suspicious and he doen't care-it doesn't change the Pats legacy in his opinion (called it much ado about nothing). And Fox coverage so far is ignoring the "story". It...
