T.O. irritated by Keyshawn's assertions about current team

Despite what a lot of people say, I think Parcells was a great coach. He inherited a terrible Giants team, turned it around (with some help - LT, Belicheck etc.) and won two championships. He inherited a disgraceful Patriots team and turned it into a Super Bowl contender. He inherited a 1-15...

T.O. irritated by Keyshawn's assertions about current team

Re: Re: Re: Re: T.O. irritated by Keyshawn's assertions about current team I'll give you that Keyshawn had a few sportsmanship "issues" over the years - but he was still a very good player. 10,000+ yards, 60+ touchdowns, he lacked top level speed but he was still a tough competitor. As for...

Bruschi looks like he fell or got tripped up by Seymour as Seymour was being blocked - great play by Rodney to step in and make the stop.

Make Some Freaking Noise on Sunday!

I disagree with this - there has probably been 50 or 60 games played at Gillette, I have been to about 35 or 40 of them. The crowd has been lousy at some games (Philly etc.) - and very loud at other games (Tampa '05, Colts divisional playoff, SD this year). I think it is good to be fired up...

Anyone have or have ever owned a Bullmastiff?

My brother-in-law had an English Mastiff, he was about 150 pounds. He had a health problem and had to be put down at age 4. Awesome dog, friendly, great with kids (meaning he put up with them treating him like a pony etc.), and good temperment.

Parcells says it's the best offense ever

I agree 100%, I like the Tuna. Many fans (not necessarily on this board) simply weren't fans (or don't remember) the pre-Parcells days in Foxboro. The great 70's team blew up due to management turmoil, contract squabbles/free agent losses and coaching changes. The '85 Super Bowl team was...

    Bill Parcells comments last night

Parcells is really good on that show, it is quite a contrast between him and some of the other stiffs that ESPN employs (Keyshawn has been suprisingly good too).

Pittsburgh sweeps Cleveland! Roethlisberger the new Elway!

I actually have no problem with what Bettis did in this case, the NFL is cut throat. He probably would have been axed if he didn't pull this stunt (and he legitimately hurt the knee while playing for the Steelers). He also had some big years for Pittsbutgh after this incident. As for the...

    NFL Live Knocks Brady

Re: Re: Re: Re: NFL Live Knocks Brady You are probably right, especially early in his career. Lately though, it seems that Favre has shied away from contact to the point where he literally tosses/flips/throws the ball away (usually to an opponent) no matter what the cost. I think Macarthy...

    WTF is Tom Jackson's problem?

What a pathetic loser, he literally is making things up. The Rams had over 400 yards (427) of offense in the Super Bowl and 26 first downs. In the regular season game the Rams had 482 yards of offense and 26 first downs. The offensive production was very similar in both games, the Patriots...

    Bengals "playing selfishly?"

I agree with this 100%. And I like Chad a lot, he seems like a good guy who works hard - but when you devote significant time to planning celebrations/creating clever taunts for opposing defenders/focusing on your own stats you are taking away from the team. As much as I hate the Colts, they...

"You don't have to be a choirboy to play for the Patriots"

Irrelevant, who cares what he "was" in Pittsburgh? Since he has come to New England he has been a valuable member of a team that has won three Super Bowls and has beaten the Steelers 4 out of 5 times.

    "I Think I Smell A Rat"

I actually like Man-boobs, even though it doesn't reference his status as a rat it is still funny as he_l. Ratgini is good too.

    Reggie Miller to Celtics?

I know you didn't ask me but I have always liked Miller. I loved it when he torched the Knicks in that playoff series ('95 ?). He helped give the Bulls a run for their money in '98 too.

Tip if in the market for new Patriots jersey

I didn't mind the white flying elvis uniforms but the blue ones weren't my favorite. It seems that teams that have a long history (and several championships) are reluctant to change their uniforms - the Celtics, Canadiens and Yankees come to mind.

Tip if in the market for new Patriots jersey

Of all the Pats jerseys over the years, I think the 95-99 editions were the worst. In '93 they had red numbers on the blue jerseys but it was tough to see the number from the stands/press box so they changed to white numbers. The '94 jersey was actually pretty good, I've seen a Bledsoe...

Tip if in the market for new Patriots jersey

I don't think he was referring to those Pats uniforms, the Pats wore the Pat the Patriot throwback for that game (w/ red jerseys). I think he was referring to the other blue jerseys that the Pats wore from 93-99, it was almost a royal blue color. Brady never played in a game when they wore...

Peter King MMQB - Pats didn't do enough in offseason to beat Colts....

I take absolutely no offense to King's comments, and I don't think he is doing it for publicity either. Since 2005, the Colts offense has scored 40, 27 and 38 points against the Patriots defense. The 2005 game is a bad example due to the presence of Michael Stone, Monty Beisel, Duane Starks...
