A trio of Bills were fined for a pregame scuffle last Sunday, prior to the game against the Patriots. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, not a single Patriots player or employee was fined.

The outcome suggests that the league office saw the Bills as entirely responsible for the fight, by specifically targeting quarterback Jacoby Brissett for a shove that sparked the brouhaha.

No flags were thrown because the incident occurred before officials entered the field. They typically arrive 50 minutes before kickoff.

Some have questioned whether the Bills coaching staff directly or indirectly instigated the incident, as part of an effort to intimidate Brissett. Whether that did or didn’t happen, whatever the Bills did last Sunday apparently worked.
