Current emotions

Been registered for awhile but relatively new posting. I see the "current emotions" shown below the username on message threads. My question is, when you set that emotion, is it locked on that thread when you post a response or does it change dynamically with you like the avatars and signatures.

I.E. If I post on a serious thread and choose to set my emotion to something related significantly to that. Then a month later I post a reply to a silly message whimsically with a positive emotion, will the serious response a month earlier show me being "positive:?

No, when you select an emotion, that is the emotion displayed all the time. So even if you change it 3 months from now, the posts you make today will be shown with the new emotion.

So just consider it as always showing your current emotion. It is not stored.
