Former FleetBoston Account holders have finally been fully integrated into the Bank of America online banking system.
For any of you here who are Bank of America account holders who were recently integrated -- a warning from personal experience. If you use online banking to pay bills, keep close tabs on your accounts for awhile.
I've been using online bill payment for years now. I love it. For the first time ever, I experienced a major screw-up.
Basically Bank of America duplicated my payments. The resulting damage was in the thousands of dollars. If I hadn't caught it immediately, I could have had unbelievable headaches in terms of cash flow. And, of course, the longer a problem like that goes unresolved, the longer it can take to resolve.
So...heads up.
