I have inadvertantly ignored some one (I have never intentionally ignored any one). I can't figure out who nor how to undo it.

Go to your icon image on top, it is next to the envelope/mail.
Once you click that a drop down menu will pop up.

There you'll see the word ignoring. Click on that you'll be able to undo.

I find it is not hard to do for I did a few threads by accident. LOL
