I didn't see a thread on this already....if one exists, mods please feel free to merge.

Looks like one interesting name on this list is Ray Ventrone's little brother Ross.

New England Patriots
Pat Paschall, RB, North Dakota State
Dane Fletcher, DE, Montana State
Bryan Anderson, WR, CMU
Sergio Brown, S, Notre Dame
Kyle Love, DL, Mississippi State
Ross Ventrone, S, Villanova ???

Any thoughts on this Paschall kid from the draft gurus here at PP.

Looks like this kid slid due to an arrest for minor in possession and running from the police. But is said to have a good work ethic and is called a "respected teammate" by cbssports.

I watched a video interview on youtube and he was pretty articulate....didn't strike me as a troubled kid or thug type.

Attaching a video of terrible quality from Youtube but one heckuva run.

Another not great quality video but this kid Paschall looks like he may have some "beast" in him. Hits the hole, can catch the ball out of the backfield and look at some of these moves in space. I also noticed a couple plays where most guys would have gone out of bounds and he kept working for a few extra yards. One of those plays was the TD in the previous video.

My Sis-in-law and her husband just moved from ND, and he gushed about how good Paschall was, for whatever that's worth. He's got no bias towards the region, he just moved there for a job for awhile. He's a USC fan.

Anyway, it's not just him - Paschall was listed on NFL.com as one of the best UDRFAs available at the position.

Also, if you had told me that the Patriots were going to pick up a safety from Notre Dame as a UDRFA and his name didn't start with M and end with cCarthy, I'd have about passed out (even though Kyle McCarthy was a bit overrated by many). Sergio Brown was burned in coverage with both regularity and authority. But he could tackle.

Good to hear Flagg. I had RB on my wish list and was a little surprised the Pats didn't go there late in the draft but maybe this kid was on the radar all along and their expectation was that he'd fall out of the draft due to the arrest. He definitely appears to have been worthy of being picked at some point over the weekend so possibly a nice find for the Pats.

And how about this ridiculous catch by Bryan Anderson from Central Michigan. This is an espn top 10 plays of the day video and the catch is not until the very end - 1:34 in......ridiculous...

It would be cool if they picked up Ross Ventrone. I was disappointed when they cut Ray last year.

His biggest obstacle is going to be his size but he appears to be an athletic freak.

This video illustrates a couple of things. He can run and he can tackle. Also he appears to be pretty heady ballplayer.
