Brady Wagner is a Denver Broncos fan, tried and true, so he thought he’d make a bet with a childhood friend who happens to be a Patriots fan on this past Sunday’s Denver-New England game. If the Broncos won, the friend would have to get a Tim Tebow tattoo (hopefully not this one), and if the Pats triumphed, Wagner would have to get Bill Belichick’s name inked on his Denver loving body.
You know the rest of the story—New England won handily 41-23, and Wagner, as you can tell from the picture, didn’t welch on the bet. Belichick’s name is permanently etched on the diehard Broncos fan’s side, so it’s not like it will be seen by a ton of people, unless Wagner is a lifeguard, a male stripper, or a practicing nudist.
Hey, I’m all for team spirit, but sometimes you have to go with your head over your heart. Sure Tebow and the Broncos have won a few games, but if you’re a football fan you have to know that nobody gameplans better than Bill Belichick, crappy defense or not. Plus Denver’s defense hadn’t gone up against a quarterback on the level of Tom Brady since taking on Aaron Rodgers and the Packers in week 4, and look how that turned out.
