There's excitement over here as the openeing game of the colleage season kicks off in Dublin this Saturday in the Aer Lingus College Classic.

A lot of events are planned including tail gating, pep rallies, events in Trinity College and there are also 6 High Schools from Florida, Georgia and other areas playing games this coming Friday. So it's a great exhibition of football coming for Irish fans and there are an incredible 20,000 fans flying in from the US for this.

Last game in the Avivia Stadium was Notre Dame v Navy a few years back.

I know BC is sending a ton of fans to this (I remember when I was a kid they played ND out there and some of the old timers I know still rave about the experience). Hopefully my Eags can stay healthy on offense this year and have a good season. The D should be top 5 nationally again.

Your Eagles arrived this morning. Already there's been an Alumni bash in the city.

There's a marching band showcase tomorrow that's free for everyone to go to plus there'll be the pep rallies and other events in and around Trinity College. Should be a very good weekend!

The BC boys scrub up well! They were in the Trinity College library today.

Pep rallies taking place all over the place and the High Schools are currently playing in front of good crowds. Dublin has gone football mad!

I know two kids on the team; both All-ISL athletes at the school I teach at.

BC are currently 14-7 up in the 4th Quarter. Playing very well, very good defense. It's raining so probably suits them. GT on the move though in BC territory.

Going to the wire. 35 seconds left and GT who are 10-14 down are deep in the red zone with 2 time outs and it's 1st down. Would be a heartbreaking loss for BC.

Damn.....TD GT and it's 17-14 to GT. Need a miracle now. BC will kick themselves as they had 2 missed FGs.
