Where does that leave the #2 pick?

An interesting soundbite on ESPN radio's Mike and Mike this morning pointed out that if NO takes Brees, then in all likelyhood, they will not draft a Matt Leinhert or any other #2 for that matter, leaving the Saints in play to trade down with another team that has a less valuable round 1 pick that won't cost #2 overall money.

Does that leave the Leinhert roulette game wide open for maybe the Jets??

Should be interesting to see how this plays out.

Didn't the Jets just cut Mawae? I think they're screwed and can't afford to pay Lienhert money.

they would be smart to sign Brees and take a left Tackle to protect him. add a healthy return of Duece at RB and they have a couple wrs in Horn and stallworth.

they could trade down to 10-15 and still get a tackle in an alledged deep draft for Tackles.

The Jets arnt that bad off.

Mangini nos that they were an old team. He cut most of the veterans but not really for the cap money. They were all old and not getting any better (like mawae) .All he really wants from the next season is some good draft picks, so that if a few years he can get his team to a competitive level
