It just never gets old

I had to sit through a year of idiots telling me Butt Fumbler was better than Foles for Philly.

Denver had a very good defense and incredible luck last year.
- Chris Harper
- Antonio Brown concussion
- Pittsburgh's 3rd RB with butter fingers
- AJ McCarron
- Refs not giving Cotchery the bobble catch
- Carolina watching Norwood go by on the punt return
- Gostkowski missing his first extra point in 9 years

Imagine Sanchez starting for Denver in that Super Bowl. Would he have fumbled 4 times? Thrown 3 picks? As bad as Manning was, he cost the Broncos 1 loss all year (KC), maybe 2 (Indy). Sanchez is good for 6 or 7 on his own.

They don't beat Pitt with Butt Fumble. ManninHGH played a solid game in that game like he did vs the Pats as well.

Still, your post is spot on. Teams led by great defenses and lousy Qbs don't sustain any type of success. History tells us that. Plus the Denver D got weaker losing two players and potentially having Miller hold out or play disgruntled. It is a crap fest in Dove Valley and it is ALL on Elway.

You forgot about BB coaching like a complete idiot the last few games of the season.

BB is the best but not going for field goals late in the AFCCG was just a bad move.

Denver's D is the second most overated thing in the NFL (behind the Cowboys O-line). They were 1st in yards 4th in points and 8th in turnovers. That is not exactly the 2000 Ravens (1 2 1), 1976 Steelers (1 1 5) or the 1986 Bears (1 1 1). The 1991 Eagles were 5 1 1 and they struggled to 10-6 on horrible QB play.

The AFCCG was about the Patriots telling Denver that every play was going to be a pass.

Jackson and Trevathan are gone.
Ware is another year older.

The 2001 Ravens struggled badly with Grbac. Elvis was still a pro QB in 2001. See last year's Detroit and Tampa games. Sanchez can't play anymore. What he did in the 4th quarter vs. Miami was horrific (pick in the end zone when a chip shot wins the game).
