Thanks Trucker for making me do this...I just figured out that Montanna's whole 15 year career plus 5 of Brady's 8 average yrs would only "TIE" Dan Marino's unbelievable passing accomplishments...Montanna would have to play 5 more seasons to tie Marino in all important passing performance statistics...

Its a shame QB's like Joe and Tom had great kickers like Adam V. to win those 3 games by a total of 9 points...and not even double digits...LMFAO!!! and the great catches from HOF Jerry Rice and Clark's hands in the back of the end zone to win those SB games... of 420 victories Marino has...any one of them could have been the SB...theres no more differnce in any SB than any other game in the season...the rules & the stadium and the players are all the same...

Q: Does just 3 gms in a 300-450 gm career define a single individual whole career when so many of the truly greatest players and most talented at their position have to depend on 52 other plasyers and what their 28 coaches do ?

No wonder the NFL Hall Of Fame honors Dan as "The Most Prolific Pure Passing QB In History"

Montanna + Brady = Marino

147-93 record - 4967 8358 61,361 yds - 420 TD -Marino
117-47 record - 3409 5391 40,551 yds - 273 TD -Montanna

30 less wins, Joe needs to play 3 more seasons avg. 10 wins a yr
1,559 less completions, Joe needs to play 5 more seasons avg. 300 compl. a yr
20,810 less passing yds, Joe need to play 6 more yrs avg. 3,500 yds a yr
147 less TD passes, Joe need to play 5 more yrs avg. 28 TD pass a yr..

never said Dan didn't have a great REGULAR season record..what seperates him from the true greats is his dismal post season stats..spin this any way you want NJ 22, but the fact is your hero as good as he was in the regular season couldn't get it done in the post season..that is what seperates him from the best..

Says the guy who's hero never won one. :p

Seriously though, if Marino had won a SB he'd be on the list of greatest of all time. He was good at what he did, but wasn't able to get the job done when it counted.

That said, Dan was a great QB. Just imagine what his legacy would have been if he'd won just one Superbowl.

Marino hasn't played any more pathetic than Brady has in post season .,..thats my point and Im not talking about referee favortism or anything simply performance...I list 5 pathetic post seasons of his 7 seasons & 6 gms Brady has 8 TDs - 10 INTs ...more INTs than TDs...

your right Brady sure gets it done !!! andf 3 Adam V game winning FGs define Brady's career?

2001 - 3 gms & measly 1 TD 1 INT performance & your calling that getting it done ?
2002 - Brady was worst this season
2005 - Baily's 99 Int return loses game
2006 - SD 2 TD - 3 INTS - Pats win dispite Brady's pathetic performance !
2006 - Can't hold 21-6 lead & throws INT last drive to lose game ! "Awsome"
2007 - SD 2 TD - 3 INTS - Pats win despite Brady's pathetic performance !
2007 - 14 points vs NYG with #1 Alltime scoring offense & 3 probowl OL

Try telling that to Dan. You think he wouldn't swap some of his september W's for a few in January?

And you don't think the pressure is greater in a playoff game than a regular season game? The more you type the more its clear you don't really understand much about anything.

Don't ever compare that choker Marino to the likes of Brady and Montana. He's not even in the same league. :shake:

and if Brady could actually throw a pass & complete it further his usual 4 yds he wouldn't be ranked 185th Alltime in "Dink & Dunkin"

And if Brady could add anything to the position besides standing in shotgun dinkin & dunking all day long 4-5yd passes fhis first 6 seasons from 2001 - 2006, he might actually have been ranked higher than 54th in this top 100 QB ranking system that takes all aspects of the position into consideration ...not just 3 single games a kicker won

of course he would rathet have them be SB's...and so would Barry Sanders and Earl Cambell and 100's of the other greatest Athletes in history that weren't fortunate enough to be on a team that was "LUCKY" enough to get their & pull it off...

my point is other than its labeled the SB & last game of the season...Marino is #2 alltime in victories...and just think if the Bills knelt in the end zone in sepetember and the referees didn't take points off the board against Atlanta and the referees didn't call those 2 pathetic "Brady Rule" penaties turned 14 point vs Ravens...The Patriots Septmber would have them at 3rd place in AFC East today and no chance for a Wildcard as both Miamin & The Jets still have....

so much for sept not meaning anything...3 ref calls and a kneel down in september won you the division...how pathetic is that....especially with rookie QB in NYJ and Heene, Ginn, Bess & Hartline have combined total 8 yrs NFL experience...

All this shows is how much more Brady and Montana accomplished in shorter time spans.. so basically if Dan was so great for so long, you'd think he'd have done better than one and done in the playoffs each year.

Brady 3 SB's
Montana 4 SB's

Dan...not so much

So 7-0...No I think they win it barely.

Patriots 3 SB's
Dolphins 2 SB's

Do you feel dumb? again?

not even a little bit...the Dolphins haven't lost all respect as the Cheaters did from the NFL....you can buy all the fvcking rings you want...its the respect that counts...and the Patsies have none !
