I don't this has been posted yet.

Has a bit of a Grassroots vibe.

Song: Come On Down To My Boat
Artist: Every Mother's Son

It's not the original artist, but it is the version that charted the highest.

Song: Whiter Shade Of Pale
Artist: Procol Harum

Keith Reid passed earlier this week. He was the lyricist for Procol Harum, and co-authored one of the all-time great rock songs.

Song: Ashes Are Burning
Artist: Renaissance

In post #4432 (a Carly Simon song) I quoted a comment from the YouTube, and that comment listed many great female singers of the 1970s.

One of the singers not listed was the incomparable Annie Haslem, and Ashes Are Burning is a showcase of her immense talent.

I've posted two versions. The first is for those that want to see the band and Annie as they perform.

But the second version is the better version - what Annie accomplishes with her voice at the end has to be heard to be believed.

Song: Listen, Listen
Artist: Sandy Denny

Sandy Denny is another of the great female voices from the 1970s. She was lead singer for Fairport Convention, and also has some very nice solo albums.
