Saw a clip of Belichick talking with a ref about the timing of closing the dome at the start of the superbowl. Coach wanted assurance the dome would be closed prior to the kick to eliminate any odd wind effects. Ref couldn't be certain, so Coach went to his assistant and they decided how to handle what they would do receiving or kicking, so there wouldn't be a last minute decision. That emphasized to me the level of detail and planning this team operates at.

The d-bags Felger and company were recently saying that the NFL's problem as a league is that no other team prepares like the Patriots, so the rest of the league is at a competitive disadvantage. No shit, really? Should we expect a league memo requesting they take the preparation down a notch?

Here is the vid.
