Since the Pats haven’t lost at home this season, we still have Tom Brady, and are playing the Chargers... It seems like a good time to repost this song I wrote right before the AFC Championship game vs the Chargers in January 2008.

I’ve updated it though to change San Diego to LA, and adjusted a few other parts to make it fit better with 2019 and with Sundays game.

Enjoy and GO PATS!

The Pats Win At Home

On of the verge of history, they play again,
The Divisonal round on their home field.
In Foxboro, this team can not be stopped,
Though they may bend, we know they’ll never yield.

The Pats bury opponents like a dog buries a bone,
And always, the Pats win at home.
Tom Brady will find the endzone,
Cause always, the Pats win at home.

Deep in the cold of winter, sparks a dream of light,
Undefeated at home, and ready to fight.
There’s no surrender, always remember,
It doesn’t end here, they’re winning tonight!

How much will they win by? That’s still unknown,
But always, the Pats win at home.
Now, Los Angeles may win in a dome,
But always, the Pats win at home.

Inside Gillete, our team never goes down,
So bring on the Chargers, for the Divisional crown.
The trumpets of victory, tonight will be playing,
And the other team, they will be saying…

“That team is stronger then stone,
Especially, when they play at home.”
Bill Belichick may scowl and drone,
But always the Pats win at home.

Running through opponents, like hair goes through a comb,
And always, the Pats win at home,
I’m sure Max Kellerman will bitch and moan,
About the Pats always winning at home.

Who knows what would happen if they played in London or Rome?
But always, the Pats win at home.
And even though the expectations have grown,
Always the Pats win at home.

The New England Patriots… They stand alone,
Cause always, the Pats win at home!

Fine effort, PSC.
This game does worry me quite a bit.

They good

Is Rivers the next Dan Marino?

If there were ever a time for Rivers to come up huge and prove that he’s a winner, and not just this generation’s Dan Marino (an all-time great quarterback who could never win the big one), this is it. This could very well be his last opportunity. Rivers has made it clear that he doesn’t plan to keep playing much longer. He has 8 kids and a 9th is due in March and he has said he wants to be able to coach them in football as they grow up.
The Chargers have a very good defense with great personnel along the DL. Running against them will be tough. Protecting Brady will be even more challenging. Trent Brown can be successful vs Ingram if he gets low and grabs him by the jersey. I don't know if Brown can get that low; it's worrisome. Solder had trouble with Ingram and Brown is even bigger. You look up and down their roster and see top players at almost every position. Plus, they have confidence.

Oh, they can be beaten, but Brady, BB, Josh and Flores have to be at the top of their game. No mistakes, no turnovers and few penalties. Do that and I'm all in for a win.

Great Job PSC

I have to agree with others that say this game worries them.... because it worries me.
we'll see soon enough.

Beautiful!

Good luck this weekend. Should be one hell of a game. If Pats get up early I don’t think there is any turning back.

8 - 0 this year at Gillette. Hard to ignore that number. Beat the Texans, Bears, Chiefs, Packers and Colts.

I really wish Norv Turner were on the other sideline on Sunday.

Chargers brought in a second kicker to handle kickoffs. They are league worst in touchbacks and Pats have the most KO return yards. But a second kicker on a playoff team? Seriously? If he was there all season, I have less of a problem with it but now? Seems stupid.

Also, Chargers third straight road game with two consecutive trips across country.

Gordon banged up. Rivers throwing like Lonzo Ball from the pocket. Wasted roster spot on a second kicker.

Can't wait until Sunday.

Hard to ignore chargers road record, either,

Me. I worry about every game but at the same time I don't worry about any of them.

Cheers
