Far as I can tell, only Law, McGinnest, Bruschi and TJ were defensive contributors to all 3 SBs and weren't brought in by BB.

If you extend it to just 2001 add in Tebucky Jones and Milloy.

Something tells me Belichick brought in a few contributors.

BB has traded out of the first round to get a number one the next year two times. Baltimore moved up in 03 to draft Kyle Boller. We got Vince Wilfork with the pick. In 2007 he didn't like what was on the board. Traded with SF. They took J. Staley a decent tackle. We got Jerod Mayo. Let's see what NO's 1st round pick produces before we rip this trade. There's a decent chance Vereen ends up as good as Ingram. I don't think so. But, time will tell. Ingram isn't that fast and already has a knee injury. I see a 4-5 year career playing on that turf in the Superdome.
