Which is weirder? Releasing Cam or trading for Chiefs offensive lineman?

As surprising as it is that Belichick released Cam Newton today, isn't it even stranger that he traded a 7th round draft pick to Chiefs for an offensive lineman? The Patriots have terrific depth at offensive line and it's the biggest weakness of the Chiefs, so it seems especially odd to bring an offensive lineman from the Chiefs to the Patriots. For a draft pick no less.

As for trading for Yasir Durant, Hey he is a 6' 7" 330 lb. Guard /Tackle who got a little experience in his 1 season with the chefs. The Patriots traded a7th for him. The guy has some potential.
