I don't have a real strong prefrence, but Indy playing the Patriots is sort of traditional. Don't we usually go through them on the way to the Super Bowl?

Can't answer that. My ego has repressed the memories of any patriots v colts game previous to our last two meetings.

(and to be serious, I think only twice you went through us. Of course the last three Sb winners did beat us in the playoffs so I would think that alone would be enough to want to play us.)

I agree with babalu's answer.

I'll add:

1) I'd like to beat The Team Formerly Known As the Baltimore Colts en route to another Super Bowl since they beat us earlier this season; and,

2) Belichick's Patriots have an incredible record when facing the same team twice in the same season. Scheming for the Colts might be easier than scheming for the Ravens. Also, Belichick may have done some things in our regular season game against the Colts to mislead them about our tendencies in a playoff rematch.
