It's a great job Mik. What "pink hat" doesn't get is that there are about 50 or so Planeteers that I have answered legal questions for here without a second thought and without so much as a casino buck. And those are PM's not thread ones. There are others here that I have helped out when they are down on their luck.
In the real world, i do Court Appointted work on the side. My plumber & mechanic make about 30 more dollars an hour than I do at that...but it's not really about the $ with that shit. Again, i like helping people out and have a ton of letters and cards from them thanking me. Here's a random snippit from a losing case. (keep in mind this kid fled the state while on probation and owing 20K in restitution, moved to FL. and sold Cola by the Kilo and eventually pulled an AR15 on an undercover DEA agent during a sting and got 5 years down there and then was brought back up here for my case)

it's shit like this letter that make what I do worth doing...obviously, these letters don't come often but they come enough to make my job worth doing.
How many other professions outside of doctor or teacher can really, honestly say that?
