Oh yea Tip, I agree - the FM version is the very best.

It took me 3-4 "listens" of the Bob Welch solo to get an appreciation for it, the slower tempo of the guitar riffs just grew on me.

Got to drop one more superb Loggins and Messina gem from their catalog. This one is "Be Free" from their Mother Lode album.

Had a good friend a number of years ago who was a L&M fan, I'd mention some of these songs (Sailing the Wind, Be Free, Move On, etc) and he would get this puzzled look on his face - he never got past their pop hits. Don't know if he ever came around.
