Papelbon to Philly

Well, it was a foregone conclusion that he wasn't coming back to Boston. And there are many that will say that Papelbon and Philly deserve each other. Personally, I've got nothing against Philly.

All and all, good riddance to Papelbon.

Papelbon shut his mouth and pitched well last year. That's all I ever wanted. He was a rock in '07.


That said, if we were going to let him walk - they should have traded him last year in the offseason.

You can argue that he pitched better this year (statistically, that's absolutely true), but he was the final chapter to this year's epic collapse.

Personally, the guy just wore me out and I stopped liking him. I agree and wanted him traded last year, but then, I was through with him from a personal standpoint as well.
