Re-signing TBC deserves its own thread for people to go nuts over. I mean Pats Cut TBC had its own thread. Wny not when they re-sign him.

Not a cap move, but apparently he can't be extended while under a league minimum one year deal. The release was just so he could sign an extension. If anything, it increased the cap if he got some bonus money.
