I know nothing about sports betting and I was wondering if it’s possible to make a wager like “the Patriots won’t play in the Super Bowl in the next 30 years” at 1000-1 odds. Since I don’t expect to live long enough to find out, is there a way such a wager could be part of my estate?

Yes you can but be aware that the Tax Code, specifically Section 63 para 4 part E states that "possible future earnings must be paid in 4 equal installments, either before or after claimants demise or not". It is a risky thing for your Estate to have to cover your wagers either before or after your death. Hope this helps.
