I finally broke down and picked up a Roku Streaming Stick so I could pick up Pats game that are not nationally televised here but I didn't have much luck with it yesterday. I tried CBS All Acess, the NFL Network, and a couple others to no avail, are there any secret tips I should know about when it comes to streaming as I'm a relative newb at this stuff.

Every week i just use buffstreamz off my lap top and it seems to work perfect every week. i have never used Roku TBH

NFLbite.com. I just posted on this a few minutes ago in the Rams thread.

We cut cable and added a fire stick and youtubeTV. YouTube sent us a free chrome cast for signing up so I connected it to the theatre system down stairs. They both work very well.

Can i get that NFLBite.com using my Streaming Stick?

So, it depends how technical you are and what you want to pay for. The solutions offered above are kind of grey market solutions. They work and you can get the streams for free, but it sometimes takes a bit of technical knowledge.

The Roku just gives you access to all the streaming platforms. Some are free, some aren't, most offer some level in between.

The legal way to watch yesterday's game is on CBS. So you either need to pay for CBS All access, you subscribe to a package, just like with cable, that will give you the live channels. They are mostly around $65/month. These services are YouTubeTV, Hulu Live, Sling, etc...

I was subscribed to CBS All Access but the only game I could get was the Packers/Jags game. I started looking into Sling but got sidetracked and never got back to it.

I don't think so. I streamed it via my MacBook to Apple TV connected to the TV via and HDMI cable. To call NFLbite.com "grey" is being generous. Roku, Chromecast, Firestick are basically the same thing by different companies. User interfaces differ so it is mainly preference. I bout the Firestick first as it was on sale. The Chroamcast came for free after signing up for YouTubeTV. I actually like the Chromecast device better.

I bought the Streaming Stick because it got good reviews and wasn't all that expensive, i'll learn how to use it and hopefully find a way where I can get Pats games that are out of market. Would have really liked to have watched yesterdays game for obvious reasons. lol

Ahh, I forgot to take into account you are not in the local market.

You would need to subscribe to whatever NFL Ticket/Gamepass options there are for non-national games.

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't I need Direct TV to get NFL Sunday Ticket?

Jailbroken firestick. VPN. I use an app that gets me most of the big city locals as well as NFL Sunday Ticket (and all other sports plusPPV)

Costs me $10 a month for the sports app (with porn) and another $8 a month for the VPN

Lol...........don't need the porn, my wife wouldn't appreciate it. What VPN are you using?

IPVanish. Pretty decent. I used HideMyAss before that but IPVanish is better.

I also use a debrid service that keeps buffering of movies and TV shows to a minimum. Real Debrid is the service. That's like another $8 per month.

PM me and I'll give you all the details.

Everyone helping him with this, keep in mind that he'd like it on his Roku.

Lol. Yeah, The sports app seems to get hacked quite a bit so I have to download all over again and go through all that process. But living in the tri state area, I needs to watch teh Cheaters every Sunday.
