Sam Madison takes shot at Ted Ginn

Ted Ginn catches a nine-yard pass and he backs out of bounds . . . I just don't know how he doesn't have a better feel for where he is on the field. I know he's got great speed, but he's the most frustrating player on this team.
Former Dolphin great Sam Madison expressed those same feelings on the show Monday morning.
"He dodges tacklers," Madison said. "Instead of delivering the blow, he's running away from it. That's going to get him in bad situations. When you catch the ball, you have to have bad intentions. If you look at a guy like Hines Ward, when he catches the ball he's turning around and looking up. Ted Ginn is usually catching the ball running backwards and slipping and falling. You may be able to run through one of those tackles or the defensive back may miss or fall down and then you can use your speed. But he's always ducking and dodging."
Madison said when his Giants played the Dolphins in London in 2007, their strategy was simple.
"We knew we could take him out of the game because we heard he wasn't physical. I go over there and I jam him and he can't get off the jam. Then I tell the rest of the guys. Now, the whole team is gunning to make him quit by hitting him hard and making you get down on the ground."
Madison said the Dolphins desperately need a legitimate No. 1 receiver.
"[The Dolphins] need that No. 1 receiver and I don't think Ted Ginn or Davone Bess is that guy," he said. "Bess was the best receiver on the team this year. If we had someone else that can take the pressure off Davone and put him in that slot and let him do what he does like Wes Welker, we'd be succcessful. But Ted Ginn is not a No. 1 and neither are the other receivers -- Camarillo, Hartline. "
