This is true. The Terry Glenn pick irked him. He wanted DL Tony Brackens instead I believe.
But he could have been more of a team player. Even parcells himself has said leaving NE when he did was a huge regret to him. Kraft was far from unreasonable and they could have worked it out. Also a very real possibility the Patriots win the Super Bowl if Parcells was more focused.

I mean, it wasn't just Terry Glenn, it's the fact Bobby Grier was hired at all. Originally Parcells was hired in the same position Belichick held. Terry Glenn was just the straw that broke the tuna's back. Even though Glenn was the right choice. His first 3 picks in 96 were money, but after that is was a lot of Chris Canty and Sedrick Shaw. That 1997 draft was one of the worst the Patriots ever had.

Hard agree. Grier destroyed a massively talented team. It was difficult to watch they were so close.
 
Somewhere in there he solidified the shittiest OL in history by backing the brinks truck up for Lane and Rucci.

This is completely insane. I mean I wanted BB to be gone, but you’ve got to bring in an offensive guy who can develop a new QB. This is an offensive league. This Mayo hire is just pissing away the next 3 years.
It makes no sense at all to can Belichick for Mayo. None.

This was already determined last year. There was no coaching search. And yes, now we have a head coach installed without a GM.

The guy to develop a QB should be the OC or QB coach, not the Head Coach.

For all we know Mayo could be the second coming, and this team goes on to have sustained success over the next two decades.
