    World Cup 2018

Soccer is my favorite sport, so will be watching as much as I can. World cup tends to be like the NCAA tournament, there will be a great story/cinderella or 2, but the more traditional teams tend to be the ones fighting it out in the end. Germany, Spain and Brazil are the traditional powers...

    Soccer Thread

Ironically enough, I think part of the problem is the domestic league. For years pundits were saying that US soccer would never "arrive" and the US wouldn't be able to compete at top levels internationally until there was a viable US league. Well, we now have a viable league but it doesn't...

You've been sentenced to death (you totally did it)...

I would have gotten away with it if it weren't for you meddling kids and your dog . . .

    Goodell Pictures?

We've seen those pictures of sad-faced Arthur Blank, watching helplessly as the Pats rally to snatch Superbowl victory away from his team. What I want to know is - where are the similar pictures of Goodell? He was there and must have been just as happy when the Falcons were winning, and must...

Lets Make a Deal - Patriots Superbowl Edition

Yes, this was the premise of my question. Kraft said this last one was the sweetest, and we understand all the reasons why, but this one is also fresh and there has been a lot of time to heal from that Giants loss. 5 superbowl wins and a perfect season would be pretty awesome, but then we'd...

Lets Make a Deal - Patriots Superbowl Edition

So the Patriots just won an amazing come from behind superbowl featuring a long drive in the waning minutes that featured a miracle circus catch. They also lost a superbowl featuring a long come from behind drive in the waning minutes that featured a miracle circus catch. Both had a lot of...

PSI Test in Last Week's Game?

One bit of news I thought for sure would have been reported by somebody following last week's Pats - Steelers game was whether or not the balls were tested under the new rule. Did I miss it? Hard to believe that no one would mention whether or not they were tested.

Roethlesberger Says Pats D Bent the Rules

Appologies if this was already posted somewhere. I have a feeling this kind of thing will keep up all year. [Sigh] http://deadspin.com/ben-roethlisberger-says-the-patriots-defense-bent-the-r-1730032314?utm_expid=66866090-52.r5txldOmRkqnbJxnyozIeA.0&utm_referrer=http%3A%2F%2Fdeadspin.com%2F

    Minivan Questions

We have a 2004 Toyota Sienna. Bought it new. Still drives fine. Never had a problem with the engine or anything major. Overall very happy. Looking to drive it a few more years before replacing it. We got the automatic sliding doors and have had to have both fixed within the last few years...

    Kraft to address the media

Not sure if its been posted yet. This pic from deadspin sums it up I think (hopfully it works):

I'm tired of hearing "Seattle woulld have won the SB if they'd only run the ball".

As much as that catch still haunts me, what haunts me more is Samuel's dropped INT earlier in that drive. Not a hard catch to make, went right through his hands. Catch it and its victory formation and a perfect season. Samuel is lucky in a way for the helmet catch, b/c it gets all the attention.

    Polian on Mike and Mike

What an assh*le. Not giving Pats any credit. Asked specifically about how Brady/Pats were able to pick apart the Seahawks defense in the 4th quarter, and he only talks about how the Seahawks played bad and says that the non-call on the Seatle receiver falling down at the end of the 3rd...

Hate me all you want, but it's time to think of the future

Don't often post, but figured I'd de-lurk to mention something that has been bothering me about the Pats over the last few years. We've become a finesse team. We've become the Peyton-era colts, a "high powered" offense that racks up 10+ wins every year and great regular season stats, but we...

    This is the year................

I fee the same way. I was surprised at how far last years team made it, and then they really had their chances to win that SB. If the D can step it up this year I think we're looking at another SB run.

Anyone here ever been to San Fransisco?

I was there about 6 years ago for a conference. Stayed at the Hilton San Fransisco (Union Square - O'Farrell St). It was nice. I stayed an extra day see a little of the area. My cousin lived in Oakland and showed me around. Lots to see/do. I enjoyed the mission district, but that may not...

    Pilgrimage to the Homeland

Definitely, at some point. Often the timing of our trips revolve around family events/activities, and the kids are still a little young, so I haven't made it a priority yet, but there are games together in our future for sure. :D
