Emmylou's voice is angelic as expected but, damn, what a star studded band backing her up.

Jimmy is the man. If you don't have the original chess vinyl of this song, this is where you want to be

It's my thing. I'm a predominantly blues player; guitar and harp.

I'm a bit of a blues historians, yep, start in 1920 with Mamie Smith, more blues records/tapes/CD's than any radio station, dead serious. 12 big books right over there.

I play the harmonica, and can fake some slide geetar.

The Butts Band - mid 70's, post Doors with John Densmore and Robbie Kreiger, and Jess Roden on vocals:

Oh yea Pneumonic, hadn't heard that version of "Can't Find My Way Home" with Bonnie Riatt and Little Feat - good stuff, Bonnie's voice is great.

And Van - that is a great lil coffee house kinda rendition of Tupelo Honey. Wonderful. Speaking of Van, I just realized I hadn't played this one from him, it's a tradition for me, every October I make sure I play it- and usually more than once too:

Beauty buddy. Van the Man rules. And this, is pure perfection. Often played on many of my playlists.

Any fans of Winwood and Clapton. Steve goes lick for lick with EC. And don't forget Steve Gadd on the kit: Good lord!

Yeah, that 11 min version is the goto version. They just don't write this kind of music these days, do they? We were lucky to grow-up and experience this level of musical genius.

So my wife sees this response, interjects and states, emphatically, that is it the goto version of LTTL:

What say you guys:

That's an excellent version Pneumonic, gotta say your wife has excellent taste, the piano seemed very prominent. For right now though, I'll stick with the original studio version as my "go to", but tell her I shall be playing her version again sometime soon.
