This is a little selfish to post as a new thread, but I am not going to pay $60+ a month for one of the big streaming services just to watch football any longer. It is the only live thing I watch any more.

So I am going to be more creative and selective in what I pay for (though less savory streaming options may be a tertiary option) For example, you can subscribe to Paramount + for $5 or $10 a month for CBS games.

If you have the Disney Bundle, you can watch the ESPN games. Etc.

So I am posting this here to keep track of what games are on what network.

There are some other options too if you have a family member with a full blown cable subscription as well through TV Anywhere. You just need them to create an email address for you.

Any, feel free to use the thread for streaming conversations or whatever. Hopefully next year the Ticket is blown wide open for streaming options.

Forgetting that the Pats have that 4 week stretch of Prime Time games, assuming that the @ Raiders game doesn't get flexed out. Brutal as a European fan, but thems the breaks I suppose. Glad that we're back on the Thanksgiving slate, even if I won't be able to watch live.

Lots of 1pm ET games, which is ideal for me, as that's 6pm here, and games are generally done by 9pm. Only the one 4.25pm ET game, I'll probably not be able to watch that live as Sky will pick it up and black it out here in the UK for Game Pass.

That's an option too. Get Game pass and use with a European IP. I started to look into that last year, but I found some sort of issue at the time, but I can't remember what it was.

Based on that schedule, I will get 6 games on YTTV for sure and very likely a 7th (Green Bay game). That is a really good TV season for me here. That leaves 10 for me to figure out... Will be a combo of illicit feeds and location based availability (when I am out of town).

My MacBook Pro in combination with our newer smart TV does an awesome job of "casting" those feeds up on the TV complete with surround sound.

This is the best TV schedule for a Michigan based Patriots fan in a long time.

YTTV + VPN = Pick your local provider.

I've had a problem using a VPN and getting shut off. I used to use Netflix to watch French language movies, most of which are only available in France and Belgium. Then one day, I got a notice that my selection was not in the USA, my home area.

Yeah Netflix has some really strict VPN filters. I used it the first year of Star Trek Discovery and had to research different VPNs for awhile to find one that worked at the time. I eventually did.

I don't know how strict the NFL is with their VPN filters.

I guess GameDay is no more. When my subscription renewed it went to NFL+ Premium, which actually seems better. A lot better.

I watched the Raiders-Jags on it the other day (saw my ex-binkie run for a TD).

NFL+ Premium

Live out-of-market Preseason games

Live local and primetime Regular Season & Postseason games on your phone or tablet

Live game audio for every game

Full game replays across devices (ad-free)

Condensed game replays across devices (ad-free)

Coaches Film

And MORE!

Most of what we watch are on Youtube, Netflix, Disney+, Amazon, FriendlyTV, and I wondered by the hell I was paying for youtubetv other than football and some series my wife watches on CBS. So I dropped youtubetv and added the $9.99 Paramount+ Premium with live CBS. (If all you want is CBS football, you can get live NFL on CBS for $4.99

I don't really understand the premium. I get my local live cbs feed included for 5.99 through amazon.

Can you suggest one and how to implement it? Can I just set it to Boston and forget it? We watch no “local” programming other than the Lions.
I use TurboVPN and FakeGPS together. The easiest thing is to pick a device that you don't need to use Google maps on (like a cheapo tablet around the house), and download YTTV plus your VPN and GPS spoof apps on that.

Set your VPN to a Boston server and your GPS to... wherever you want in the area. Then log in to your YTTV account, and it should welcome you to the new area. At some point it will ask you if you're travelling in this area or if you want to change your home area.

If you want to change it up on a smart TV directly, you'll need to spoof the WiFi it's set up on, which I've never done personally, as it was never needed.

So looking at the schedule, I have all but six games covered, two on NBC, two on ESPN, and two on Fox. There are 3 fox games, I know, but I'll be driving home from FLA on 9/25 and planned on staying in Aberdeen MD that night. My only question was could I get into my room at 1:00, so I switched to a La Quinta next to BWI. Should be plenty of places to see the game, with BWI terminal a last resort.

And I could (maybe) stream the other games on my phone on NFL+ Premium. I'll have two weeks before the Ravens game to find out exactly what NFL+ Prem will and won't do.

Yes, we had that up until last night. That's how my wife watched her CBS stuff. But going through Amazon each time is a pain (she tells me) and with an account directly with paramount it shows up on the home screen of our TV. One click and she's in. She loves it. For a $4 a month difference, the Happy-Wife-Happy-Life rule came into play. Plus I'm grateful to have a wife who's even more of a maniacal Patriots fan than I am. She watches the combine and draft with me, and in even in my own truck, if she's with me I can't listen to my 60's/70's rock stations on SiriusXM, only the NFL station. Not complaining. I'm grateful.

If I use nfl+, will I be able to cast from my chromebook?
Excellent question, as most of the live stuff can only be streams to phone/tablet. I also don't know what they mean by local (local to where I am or my home area)

I'll check it out when the season starts.

I think that was the issue I ran into. The hoops I'd potentially have to jump through to get it on the TV since it's meant to be a mobile only service.

Hence the interest in getting a European subscription.

But like you, I will use Paramount + this year for CBS. I already have the Disney Bundle included with VZW, so ESPN is covered. That just leaves NBC which I'll find a way around.

Not spending that $65 for YTTV or Fubo any more. It's just rediculous.
