If you are a season ticket holder or a member of the season ticket waiting list, you can login to the Patriots Ticket Exchange and see THOUSANDS of tickets for sale for Thursday night's game with Texans. For this game, there are far too many ticket sellers and not enough buyers.

But, login to TicketMaster and you will see that there are very few pairs of tickets for sale, only singles.

Since, many of season ticket holders may eat their tickets on Thursday, the Patriots should dump these tickets onto TicketMaster and give their most loyal fans the opportunity to recoup their money.

Move the tickets to where the buyers are.

Thursday night games are tough on those of us that work and have limited schedule flexibility.

Great suggestion. Seriously. Don't hold your breath, probably.

Cheers

I believe they do this (which is why they announce tickets 'released' on game day or day before)

Nice thought, but how are the Patriots going to release tickets that are already owned by season ticket holders. If the season ticket holders would put the tickets on a third part site everyone could actually access, they would probably sell.

Different thing, those last minute ticket releases are from the visiting team allotment that the players don't want to buy and give to friends/family/etc...

When we put our tickets up on the exchange, we still own them until someone purchases them. If they go unsold, we eat the ticket. By putting them up for sale, we agree that if they are sold, we have no right to get them back. Basically, we are giving the team permission to resell our tickets.

If we sell through the ticket exchange, we are absolved of any responsibility for the behavior of the buyer. If we sell to a scalping site, we absorb the risk for that person's actions. I will never take that risk.

Ok, that is interesting...but also probably the reason why Kraft can't just put them on TicketMaster, pretty sure the Patriots would have to actually own them to do that. The NFL exchange, or Patriots exchange, whatever it is can set their own rules.

Fair enough.

Right... Patriots Ticket Exchange should dump our tickets to the General Market when the ticket exchange has too many tickets listed and the general market is hot.

This Thursday night game is an odd circumstance.

No. What's going on is the Patriots have to hold 500 tickets for the visiting team. 2 days before game day, they can release the unpurchased tickets.
