Detroit starting that back-up goalie against one of the better Eastern Conference teams was a little iffy, no?

We also started our back up goalie, the chess match was a fun one.

Oh, I know that. But Fernandez has been putting up great numbers recently (except that Buffalo game a few weeks ago), so to me it wasn't NEARLY as questionable for the Bs to go with the number 2.

Yup, that was fun stuff. And it was almost good that the Wings got a goal and the Bs' THEN ended all hope...after they thought "well, maybe, just maybe....." NOT.
 
Conklin's been statistically better than Osgood so far this year. Maybe they thought they had a better chance with Conklin? :shrug:
