Isn't there a rookie minicamp in there somewhere?

Rookie mini camp begins today!

Let the reports begin. I know that today will be "how to tie your cleats' day, but soon enough we'll start hearing
something that'll get us cranked up.

I forget what the media will attend and what is private, but "sources say" is better than nothing.

Here is a random sample of some imaginary stuff I hope to be reading soon:

Kayshon Boutte looks like a man on a mission and is not only proving very difficult to cover but is hauling
in everything aimed in his direction. His catch radius seems enormous for a player of his size.

It's becoming clearer, with each practice, that Christian Gonzalez will be starting opening day because he
is simply too good to keep on the bench. It is not a guarantee of rookie success, but, to this point in training
camp, Gonzalez has consistently been playing at a level somewhere between extremely impressive and dazzling.

He could have taken a different approach, but sources say that David Andrews has treated Jake Andrews not as a potential
rival, but more like a long-lost Brother. The two have been virtually inseparable.

Mac Jones finished his day by completing 19 straight passes while betraying none of the indecision that frequently characterized
his Summer of 2022. Make no mistake about it -- the all-around Offensive execution, to this juncture, has been crisp, efficient and entirely
professional leading to a growing confidence around Gillette that the woes that plagued this unit under Matt Patricia
are nothing more than a rapidly fading and unpleasant memory.

I fainted halfway through and gave my wife a heart attack.

I made sure to sit down and finish it.

Media is not allowed for rookie mini camp unfortunately

Only the Patriots, Ravens and Raiders closed rookie mini camp to the media.
The Patriots will open practice to reporters on May 25 for the first time.

The Patriots have never allowed the media to attend the rookie camps. They cause too much distraction.

Whether you know it or not, all of the rookies have been at Gillette since the Thursday following the draft. They've been examined, prodded, poked, worked out with and without medical shit stuck to them. They all got a tour and then were assigned a locker and pretty much told to spend eight hoyrs a day in the weight room. No coaches are allowed. Medical and training staff can "help" but not instruct. These kids have been going through ""Patriot Indroctrination""
