Debate this !

He couldn't get any points on the board against a 17th ranked defense that averaged giving up 21 pts per game against pathetic QB's...Brady had 3 probowl Linemen and the #1 Scoring Offense & all time top 3 WR core....

I think thats pretty telling as to how great Brady really is "or Not"...lets face it, if he couldn't get it done with those tools on offense and the Pats defense only gave up 10 points in 59:00 ...

so my point is...who do you blame...Brady had the tools & couldn't do it and the defense did its job ... that offense should have scored 30+ points if Brady was on top of his game...

With all that said...seriously I think Brady is a great QB and Im excited hes coming back this year...even though Cassell did a good job the pats will be much better with Brady...and I think they signed a great Stallworth replacement in Joey Galloway to take pressure off the Moss connection

Dan Marino zero rings. Dan Marino horrible in the playoffs. Dan Marino opening up Hooters. Dan Marino a HOF fraud.

He had his team in the lead with under a minute left in the game dumb dumb..

I hate to say it...but i think theres a big list of active QB's alone that under the exact same circumstances and having thise tools and Probowl OL....not only could have won that game but won it handely by 14 points or more just by being more mobile and athletic instead of sitting there like a lame duck

did I say Hate ?.... I mean I actually loved saying that !!!

Here comes trouble...whats the matter Cleat the "American Idol" thread up at the main board is slow today, the kids are still in school ?

Not at all. I'm just here to counter all your bullshit. I don't need to try and spin stats. You can't dispute it and the bottom line is that the only thing that matters are championships and Dan Marino has never been and never will be called champion.

1- Midgar thats a great question...what that means is although Palmer had a good 39.6 % completion in balls thrown 20+ yds his average pass completions were mostly the short ones...I assume he didn't have alot of downfield completions to boost up his average YPC..but that doesn't take away from his good downfield completion percentage...

08' - Delomme
07' - Anderson
06' - Mcnabb
05' - Roslenberger
04' - Manning

sorry still no Brady !!!

So you are making an excuse for palmer? No dummy I asked who had the higher completion pct in the last 3 years, brady manning or palmer. Oh and I need you to add in those over 40 yard in the air ones too, because if you do, guess what... I also see by your great list that obvioulsy Anderson is better than manning, oh and guess what, so was brady, anderson was at 12.7, brady was at 12.4 and manning was 12.0. Brady was second in the league in YPC, so it seems a dink and dunker would not be second would they? Because the funny thing is, when brady gets decent receivers that can stretch the field like manning has always had, he beats manning in YPC, and even though brady didnt, he was still only .3 ypc less than manning for his career, so obvioulsy you are calling manning a dink and dunker, and obviously you will not answer my question for who holds the record for the most passes without an int to start a career.

Amazing how those pro bowl lineman somehow forgot how to block when cassel got int there, because they gave up the second most sacks in the league, gee I wonder if it had something to do with brady.

Come on D22, these guys won't be able to take you making fun of American Idol too....Do you have no heart Lee?

Daeson between me & you and please don't tell these guys...I love American Idol and have been watching it for 6 years faithfully...seriously...the only differance is I'll admit it...LOL!

thats not as many as Tom Brady blew in the playoffs !!!...

Brady has played in 17 playoff games, he has lost 3, 2 were not blown by him, 1 is debateable. Romo has played in 2 playoff games in his life. Try and keep up, if you are going to compare greatness please find me a Qb who is even near a 14-3 playoff record, here is a hint, dont start with marino.

I thought this was a converrsation about QB's and their talent & ability? Not team victories & accomplishments

Downfield passing is the judge of a good quarterback?

FWIW Jerry Rice led the NFL in YAC when Montana was throwing to him.

Marino had Duper and Clayton
Manning had Wayne and Harrison
Montana had Rice and Taylor
Bradshaw had Swann and Stallworth

Brady had a collection of insurance salesmen and zombies until 2007
Branch??????????????? Givens??????????????????
I love me some Troy Brown but he aint no downfield threat.
His first year with Moss/Welker he TORCHED the NFL
Brady has one of the strongest arms in the NFL

Troy Brown records...must have reallt sucked to have a top 10 WR
- 5th & 6th Reception 01'-02'
-10th Yards 01'
- 6th Yards per touch 01'
- 1st & 2nd Punt Return 01' - 02'

Deon Branch ...
- Too bad Brady couldn't get the ball to 2004 SB MVP...WR's like Brown, Givens and Branch all would have better careers if they had Manning Montanna or Marino throwing the ball

Duper & Clayton had Marino #109 w/+40% compl. perc. 20+ yd passes
Rice and Taylor had Montanna #150 w/+40 compl. Perc. 20+ yd passes
Harrison & Wayne had Manning #150 w/+40 compl. Perc 20+ yd passes
Troy Brown & Branch had Brady #183 w/28% compl. perc. 20+ yd passes

LMAO!...average Yards Per completion...and the longer the throw the more its on the QB's arm & accuracy and seems Brady quite doesn't have those NFL QB qualities

Amazing how brown became a top 10 receiver for that one year when brady took over as QB. Wonder why he was not before 2001???
