This is one from exactly 50 years ago- I used to hear it on WKBW Buffalo at night when they came in on my old GE tube radio:

Yea BT, I remember WPTR in Albany, NY, WKBW in Buffalo, WABC and WINS in NYC, clear channel WLS in Chicago and of course WBZ in Boston. WBZ actually came in better during the day in western Mass, at night it got all garbled. I think I had a 6 transistor, I thought it was quite the beast. Then I saw an 8 transistor monster and I thought, "gawd, they can't get any more bigger and powerful than that, can they? LOL, little did I know...

Got a chance to see them several years back at Humphrey's by the Bay (intimate outdoor venue right on the bay here in San Diego). Glad I did. Special, memorable. Nostalgic for sure.
