WTF Thread

Stealing identities & cc info has become a huge worldwide professional operation. I've had to change 2 cards 3 diff times in the last 8 months.
Skimmers can be installed on ATMs, gas pumps, the door to enter an ATM, anywhere you use a card.
Debit cards offer 0 protection. Thieves love debit cards bc no one cares, unlike large cc companies which will often put forth effort to find those manufacturing these skimmers or bilking people in an organized manner. Let the cc company take the hit, use credit cards (not debit cards) when you're out and about.
Do not use debit cards except to get cash from a legit bank. Even then, open the door to the bank's atm with a credit card rather than a debit card. Skimmers can be place there, too.

(skimmer not shimmer)

Here's another example
the tech removes the camera then the card skimmer.

I know about the credit card #'s password compromised.

Can you ever get your money back if you have a compromised debit card #? I have heard briefly about this possibility.
