"Humans, we had a good run.:"
Ya know, I was thinking recently, sorry about that.
I was thinking about what generation has the most influence and power at the moment.
To a large degree it is those who came of age in the 60s and 70s.
Then I realized we, who came of age in the 80s are next up to the batters box.
Now, I know the crazy crap I grew up watching, reading and listening to and many others did to.
Was talking to our old friend
@Claremonster about this in a great and wonderfully fun Facebook thread with a trip back to our influences in the 80s.
(Thread coming soon here on the same topic)
You think things are screwy now, just wait until the likes of us and me and CM step up to the plate.
Holy crap!
Then I got to thinking about the following generations behind us and what they will bring to the table.
I remember sitting and watching this next generation not just partying and raising Hell like we did, no. They took a look at the warning label on Red Bull can, ya know, " The Drink That Gives You Wings", which clearly states, "DO NOT MIX WITH ALCOHOL".
What did these kids do? They threw 500 on the Black Jack table, doubled down on sixteen and hit the insanity jackpot with the creation of Jagar Bombs.
Not to be outdone a more recent generation took a look a the pretty colors of mom's Tide Pods, thought somehow they must taste good or get you high or something, ate them and kicked off a national Tide Pod eating trend.
Then we have the ingestion of Bath Salts and more on down the line.
It looks from this perspective that every successive generation triples the idiocy of the previous one.
First thought that came to mind when I tried a Jager Bomb and ended up chasing a very expensive Tide Pod habit, (Dont do this btw, nothing at all good can come from it) is that man is not a species meant to survive.
So here's the deal and CM concurs..
If Humanity is going to circle drain and extinguish itself, do we really want the generations of nitwits that followed us to have all the fun ending Humanity? They'd probably screw it up anyway.
Hell no!!
Eighties kids are the last great generation, we know how to throw epic raging parties and a few of us live with integrity to the concept of go big or go home. No Half measures ever brought anything awesome, promise.
So, let's rock it, light the fuse and go out with the biggest bang ever!!!!
Claremonster and John Locke 2024!!!!
LVent in a dress, the secretary of education, No1Jag the head of whatever the Hell he wants to be, Kid Rock to head the bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Fireams, Hank Williams Jr. to lead the Department of Defense and more names forthcoming, just waiting on the last high money bids to come in determining the rest.
Good luck, good day and Hallelujah brothers and sisters of the Planet.
Amen!
