I was hesitant about starting this thread didn't want to sound like a whiner. I had been reading those other his and her loot threads and started to think I was the only one "home Alone" so to speak for the holidays and the more i read the more alone I was feeling. I see now that I'm not the only one and I really appreciate the PP family support. You've all cheered me up more than you'll ever know.
I hope you all enjoy the time together with your loved ones this holiday season its really what Christmas is all about.

To TBL I do have a big tv but I'm afraid i gave away my secrect about other physical endowments (or lack of) in my original post. LOL

I wished it wasnt true but I really was begining to hate the holidays. So I thought I might as well try to change those feelings. I do wish I had spoke to SOKB about the whole matzo ball parties thing sooner but I'm not sure how to pretend to be jewish...lol I suppose it could be worse than the $$$ I spent on that TV I could have bought a real doll.... LOL

Anyway I hope you I mean santa treated you to something nice and have a merry christmas.

My other half's Dad is Jewish. I recommend talking absolutely everything to f***ing death as a starting point. I have no idea if that's what other Jewish people do, but they sure like to prevaricate.

I really empathise with the single thing; I was single for a very, very long time before meeting her.

Blueray has more titles and more movie houses I believe, but HD DVD has MUCH cheaper equipment, and now they have signed a few exclusive deals. The whole thing sucks.

I went to the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas one year (must have been 1995 or so). A couple of us made a special effort to get to the Adult Entertainment exhibits, which were in a separate facility, far from the rest of the huge exhibition (it was in one of the old famous casinos that has since been torn down, possibly the Sands).

Anyway, although a trade show with booths selling "adult entertainment" sounds like fun, it was actually pretty revolting. The one booth I particularly remember was for a company selling "old people" porn with two models in the booth who must have been in their 70s, wearing leather. Not very attractive.

Film based sources can be transferred to HD with excellent results.
